Our recommendation is always the homestay with a Canadian family. You will stay in a family home, practice English with them, but more important, you will develop friendship and learn about Canadian culture. Your host family will include you in their daily routine, invite you to participate in family activities, and help you with any question you have about living in Vancouver. To give you the best possible accommodation according to your preferences, you need to register at least 2 months before your arrival in Vancouver. Your Homestay Fees should reach us at least 6 weeks before your arrival. - To register: print the Registration Form, fill in the form and send it to us by fax at 1-604-244-1664. - Homestay Fees: Homestay Placement (non-refundable) from CDN$ 250 + Homestay Fee from CDN$ 720 (per month). Additional day: $ 30.
You should arrive on Saturday or Sunday before program start date. If you intend to arrive before please contact us for homestay availability.
Bed & Breakfast is a good alternative if you are not staying in a homestay. We will help you finding a place that you will like and that fits your budget. - Prices range from CDN$85 to CDN$120 per day, small hotels are available from CDN$65 to CDN$140 per day (summer prices may be higher). Placement fee CDN$250. Student
residences usually have one to three month waiting lists.
Residences are available as single rooms with private or shared
bath.
Both furnished and unfurnished apartments and suites are available. It is the responsibility of the students to secure their own apartment. Prices
vary with location and the type of furnishing. Prices are from
CDN$950 to CDN$1,600 per month. One month's rent is required
in advance. Once you are in Vancouver for a while, and get to know other international or Canadian students, you might be able to arrange for shared accommodation (two or more students rent a small apartment and share the expenses). Price
of your share could vary from CDN$ 550 to CDN$ 800 per
month, depending on the area. Usually the 1st and last month's
rent is required. Placement is not available.
