STUDY AND WORK PROGRAMS
In
the Study and Work Programs, students combine 2 programs, one of
study and the other one an unpaid work experience: Au Pair, Internship,
Volunteer or Farm stay. By law it has to be unpaid, but just the
experience itself is more than enough.
Internship
Program
Study
an English course! Work at Canadian Company!
A combination
of practical work experience at a Canadian company provides experience
in English in the real world, while the English lessons at inlingua
Vancouver with our qualified teachers, excellent method and materials
provide the skills to master the English language.
Two
Components - Study and Professional Internship
Program
requires minimum a month of English lessons at inlingua Vancouver
with our conversational method and our business class - Professional
English.
Professional
Internship takes place at the work place. The internship company
is carefully selected with the objective to meet as much as possible
the professional profile and the expectations and to contribute
to achieve the main goal: To fully immerse in a work environment
where English is the common language.

Advertisement, Business Administration, Communications, Engineering
companies, Television and Movies industry, Food industry, International
Trade, Legal sector, Multimedia industry, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality
industry, Translation service companies and many more.
Requirements
for a Professional Internship
- Registration
at inlingua Vancouver for at least 1 month in a Full time program
and the elective
- Professional
English. Valid programs are IP1, SE, and CIP
- Minimum
Age: 20 years
- Finishing
at least level 3A (Upper intermediate) at inlingua Vancouver
- Apply
at least 6 weeks in advance
- Provide
clear information about education background, work experience,
special skills, English level, future goals, etc.
Certification
Students
receive a Certificate when completing the Internship If the Internship
performance is outstanding, the company will issue a Letter of Recommendation
that could become an integral part of a Curriculum Vitae that no
doubt will open doors in the future
Additional
important information:
In
Canada it is illegal for students or tourists to work. An Internship
is not considered work as long as it makes integral part of an Academic
Program. For all immigration purposes, Internship is not considered
work but a component of a Language Program
Participants
can come to Canada under a Tourist visa (visitors) or a Student
Visa (study permit).
FULL
TIME PROGRAMS
At
inlingua Vancouver, students have 5 options in full time
programs:

CIP - Crash Intensive Program - 50 lessons per week (ultra intensive)
o SE - Star English Program - 40 lessons per week (super intensive)
o IP1 - Intensive Program - 30 lessons per week (intensive)
o IP2 - Interface Program - 30 lessons per week (intensive)
1. CIP - Crash Intensive Program - 50 lessons per week (ultra
intensive)
From
9 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The CIP is the most flexible
course available and students get the best opportunity to design
the program around their needs and objectives. It includes 50 lessons
per week = 20 inlingua Speaking Lessons + 10 Elective Lessons +
10 Semi private Lessons + 10 Listening Technologies lessons. 50
lessons = 37.5 hours per week.
2. SE - Star English Program - 40 lessons per week (super
intensive)
From
9 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
It includes 40 lessons per week = 20 inlingua Speaking Lessons +
10 Elective Lessons + 10 Semi-Private Lessons / 10 Listening Technologies
lessons.
From 3:00 to 4:30 pm, students will study Semi-Private Lessons for
50% of the time and Listening Technologies for the other 50% of
the course.
40 Lessons = 30 Hours per week.
3. IP1 - Intensive Program - 30 lessons per week (intensive)
From
9 am to 2:45 pm, Monday to Friday.
It includes 30 lessons per week = 20 inlingua Speaking Lessons +
10 Elective Lessons.
30 Lessons = 22.5 Hours per week.
4. IP2 - Interface Program - 30 lessons per week (intensive)
From
9 am to 2:45 pm, Monday to Friday.
30 Lessons = 22.5 Hours per week.
5. IP2 - Afternoon - Interface Program in the afternoon
From
1:15pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The IP2 afternoon incorporates all the afternoon lessons available
at inlingua; however, it does not include the inlingua Speaking
Lessons.
30 Lessons = 22.5 Hours per week.
